The Journal of Maine Education has been recognized for excellence in affiliate publications by the Association for Supervision and Curriculum Development (ASCD) in 1985, 1987, 1989, 1990, 1991, 1992, 1993, 1996, 1997, 1999, 2000, 2001. ASCD discontinued this award in 2003.
