About the Presenter |
Pam’s professional background includes work as a special and regular education teacher, coach, and as a director of staff development. She has designed and delivered training for leadership academies throughout the United States and internationally for the Department of Defense Education Equity Division, and at ASCD's Professional Development Institutes. Pam’s written work has appeared in Educational Leadership, The Elementary School Journal, and the Journal of Staff Development. Her books include, How to Develop and Implement a Peer Coaching Program, The Principal's Companion, co-authored with Harvey Alvy, Thinking Inside the Block: The Teacher's Day Planner co-authored with Lynne Herndon, and most recently, The New Principal's Fieldbook: Strategies for Success co authored by Harvey Alvy. With her educational background including a Masters Degree in Education from California State University, Sacramento, and a doctorate from the University of California, Berkeley, Pam’s research has emphasized the areas of organizational development and change. She has dedicated her professional life to providing meaningful, research-based professional growth opportunities that provide the necessary skills and motivation for participants to accomplish their long and short range goals.
